And this years Most Valuable Player of the National League is: Buster Posey!!!

I must admit that I did not expect Posey to have the incredible come back year that he had this year! I mean, I knew that he was a very talented ball player, but I figured that it would take him a while (maybe even an entire season) to get back to the way he was in the 2010 season. And I feared that he might never be the player that he was before he suffered that tragic accident in May 2011.
Boy was I wrong......
Posey settled back in perfectly.
I think it is worth noting that Posey did not only win MVP because of his hitting, although that was an important factor. He also won because of his work behind the plate. He coached Matt Cain through his Perfect Game. And his ability to throw out runners trying to steal is the work of a player who works hard and is great at what he does.
(Posey once threw out three runners trying to steal in one game!! Against the Dodgers I might add)
Its also important to remember that more than half way through the season, the Giants lost their best hitter (at the time): Melky Cabrera. It was after Cabrera's suspension that Buster Posey really started heat up. The Giants proved that they didn't need Cabrera to bring back a World Series Trophy!
Buster Posey-MVP: .336 batting average, 24 home runs, 103 RBI's
