All the Giant's who were sent to the 2012 All-Star Game started the game.
Pablo Sandoval, Melky Cabrera, Buster Posey, and Matt Cain all contributed in their own way to the National League's 8-0 win.
Pablo Sandoval hit a bases clearing triple in the first inning to make it 5-0.
Buster Posey walked and scored a run, he grounded out, and popped out.
Melky Cabrera went 2-3 with a single, and a home-run. He also won the MVP award.
And Matt Cain pitched two scoreless innings and only gave up one hit.
The last time the All-Star Game was in Kansas City was in 1973, when [Giant] Bobby Bonds won the MVP award.
Now halfway through the season, the Giants are 0.5 games behind the first place L.A Dodgers.
Even though their last road trip went poorly, I think that they finished the first half in a good place.
They are not too many games behind first place, and their next series is at home.
They will play the Astros. Last time they played the Astros Matt Cain threw a perfect game, one of the highlights of the season.
